My name is Michel Rutten and I am a co-worker of Ewout Kramer, the principal author of this blog. Born and raised in the south of Holland, I moved to Leiden to study Mathematics. Now I live in beautiful Amsterdam in de Pijp area near the Albert Cuyp market, where you can find me on Saturdays enjoying a matie herring.
As a kid, I discovered the joy of programming on a Philips P2000T (ah, the good old days) and haven’t stopped since. I have been working in software development for almost 20 years now, mainly on the Microsoft platform and specializing in health care industries. Last year I joined the FHIR team at Furore and since then I have been working full time on the development of Forge, the FHIR profile editor.
